In order to speed up the realization of Subang Zero Stunting, PT DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) unit supplied nutritional assistance to the Subang community. The handover ceremony was held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at the Rawalele Health Center, in Subang Regency.
The head of TJSL DAHANA, Eman Suherman, said that the supply was a follow-up to the Stunting Foster Parent program launched by the Regent of Subang H. Ruhimat. Nutritional supplies are focused on children aged 1 to 4 years. Mr. Suherman hoped that this assistance could help minimize stunting cases in Indonesia, especially in Subang Regency.
“DAHANA’s SER is committed to eradication of stunting; various programs have been implemented by the Company as a manifestation of the Sustainable Development Goals with 4 Development Pillars. This time the assistance came in the form of 3-month nutritional intake supply for children aged 1-4 years. Hopefully this assistance can help with the Zero Stunting process, especially in Subang Regency, “said Mr Suherman.
Mr. Suherman added that as a state-owned company that is the center of Indonesian explosives operating in Subang Regency, DAHANA wants to advance together with the people of Subang Regency, in terms of health, education, and community’s economy.
During the donation event, Mr. Suherman also said that the parents of the beneficiaries found the nutritional assistance very helpful. The assistance came in Supplementary Foods (PMT) consisting of multivitamin milk, and biscuits for toddlers.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Service Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) of the Rawalele Health Center, Dr. Lini Aquariah, welcomed the supplies nutrition assistance by DAHANA. Dr Aquariah said that the cooperation of all parties, including the government, state-owned enterprises, and the private sector, is required for the stunting eradication program.
“We would like to thank PT DAHANA for its active participation in eradicating stunting in hoping that PT DAHANA will be more successful and develop rapidly in the future,” said Dr Aquariah.
DAHANA’s SER is noted to be playing an active in the stunting eradication program. Previously, DAHANA was recorded as having collaborated with the government and related health implementation units to carry out the Zero Stunting campaign and various programs to provide nutrition to the people of Subang.
“It is our hope that we can successfully complete the 2024 Zero Stunting program to make sure that no more children in Subang Regency are malnourished,” concluded the SER Chair.
